• Estimated number of adults who are functionally blind (1% of the total population i.e. 1% of 9,719,932) = 97,199;

History of SHAA

The Societe Haitienne d’Aide aux Aveugles (SHAA) was founded on February 23rd, 1952; and is an Organisational Member of the Caribbean Council for the Blind (CCB).
